If I was to join the Navy over 30 years old, it would be a chess move for me.
A wise person would admit when they need to make a change in life. They would admit when they need to make some kind of strategic move that will change the trajectory of their lives.
One thing I would do right off of the back is get into my TSP and start catching up on retirement. The retirement age is near 60 or 65, if I was to say, do the max age in the Navy which is 42, 20 years later, I would be about 62.
I would also get a mentor. Not having a mentor is the difference between you succeeding in being a top rated seller or you being passed over and being a low producing Sailor.
Another thing I would do is start getting fit right now, especially if I know that I can get a bonus just for passing a fitness challenge.
Much more. Check out this short video!
